Fr Mark was born in 1987 and raised in Burnham-on-Sea, on the Somerset coast; as the crow flies not far from Porthcawl.
He left England for Wales in 2006, when he came up to read law, both undergraduate and postgraduate. He subsequently trained for the ministry at St Michael’s College in Llandaff, where he earned his Master’s in Theology.
Mark served his first curacy in Coity & Nolton, between 2017 and 2020, during which time he supported the parish through a long vacancy.
He began his second curacy here in Porthcawl during August 2020.
Mark has written for the Prayer Book Society, and his interests include: Church History, (especially the English Reformation); music (he plays the guitar); and chasing after his dog, Hiro. Mark has two lively sons, who live with him part-time.
