Here we are at Harvest Festival, a lovely time of year – and it looks as if we are able to celebrate a little more than last year!
Once again, we have a packed magazine. It’s lovely to hear the news from each of our churches, particularly as we start to meet again face-to-face. Fr Geoff gives us some food-for-thought, whilst Fr Mark highlights the importance of thanksgiving and harvest. There’s also an excerpt from the Church Times article featuring Fr Mark and the prayer he wrote for migrants and their rescuers.
Regular contributors John Berry and David Parry have given us a couple of articles this month – always so interesting to read. It’s great to have an article from Jodie Mae Smithern, who we welcome as a new advertiser. Jodie, we wish you well as the new owner of Home & Colonial. We also have a final contribution from Ruth Birch as Tower Captain – thank you, Ruth, for all you have done; we look forward to more News from the Tower from your successor.
Thank you to all our contributors and also to Alan Townsend who suggested putting the writers’ bylines at the top of each article to make it easier for those reading online. Let me know what you think. If you have other suggestions on any aspect of the magazine, please do get in touch – and we love having your news, views and stories too, of course.
So as that autumnal chill starts to creep in, take a moment to enjoy this magazine.
