On May the 12th at 1400 hrs the 34ft yacht Rival Star will sail into Porthcawl on Day 2 of a round-Britain expedition seeking the early voyages and life stories of Celtic Christianity.
Howard Worsley and Andy Carnegie will trace the sea routes, landing places and influences of the early Celtic Christian saints. Howard is a theological college vice principal and Andy a businessman and keen sailor. They will be met by the sea cadets and the Town Mayor at the harbourside. A reception will be held in the YMCA at 7pm where the pair will talk about the voyage and hope to gain knowledge of the local Celtic traditions from those attending. There is no entry fee and everyone is welcome. If you would like to attend you will be very welcome. You do not need to book but it would help with catering if you could let us know if you are planning to come.
