How quickly time flies! It’s taken a little while to get this first issue of the year together, but it’s now packed with news, reviews and interesting tit-bits – well, I hope you find them interesting and enjoy the read.
As well as news from our regular contributors, there’s a report on the Christmas Tree Festival, up-to-date news on the 200 Club and an article about Epiphany. That last one was prompted by the fact that I celebrated 6th January in Lanzarote and experienced the excitement of 3 Kings Day – a great reminder of the importance of Epiphany in our church calendar.
There’s lots coming up too and the Parish diary page is packed full. Lent is a time for quiet reflection – why not pop into St John’s for a moment of quiet prayer – after their success before Christmas, the team are offering another two dates when the church will be open and you can call in and enjoy a coffee.
I think this is the first time since I’ve been editor that we’ve had dates for all our church fayres so well in advance. Put them in your diary and start gathering bits and bobs for the various stalls!
