With a mild winter and some lovely warm, sunny days, we’ve been lulled into thinking spring was here. And yet as I write this, the hail is falling and the temperature has dropped significantly! I’m sure it won’t last and we’ll soon be smiling and enjoying the sunshine!
Once again in this issue you can catch up on what’s happening around the Parish. There’s news and views, an Easter story and a full diary of all the events that are coming up. We even have a little ‘teaser’ from our new curate who’ll be joining us at the end of June. I’m sure, like me, you are looking forward to welcoming him into the Parish.
Lent is a time of quiet and personal reflection. Maybe you gave up one of your treats or have given yourself to help someone else. However you marked this special time, those 40 days help us to focus ourselves and our thoughts as we look forward to Easter.
John and I haven’t been in Porthcawl very much over the last few months as we’ve been helping out an elderly friend. Clearing a home isn’t easy, but it’s amazing the treasures you uncover. I’m not talking about anything major or of huge value, but rather those little curios that mean something special to their owner. It’s so sad when the significance and stories of those objects is lost. Make sure you share your stories and enjoy your treasures.
