December is such a busy time of year – but there’s still time to reflect. It’s always so lovely to take a moment to absorb the atmosphere and excitement of the Christmas Tree Festival in All Saints, to catch the sparkle of the decorations in houses around town, or to enjoy and wonder at the floodlights on St John’s. For me, these moments of quiet help to balance out the hustle and bustle of preparations.
I hope this December issue of the magazine also gives you the chance to pause and reflect. Once again it is packed full of contributions from folk across the Parish – thank you one and all! There are stories and articles about various aspects of Christmas, two gentle and thought-provoking poems submitted by Sue Coughlin, and of course, news from all three churches too. This is a time for celebration and for memories; some looking back and lots of looking forward; sharing times with friends and meeting new faces too. We’re so lucky to have such a rich mix within our church family. Imagine how dull things would be if we were all the same!
Enjoy this month’s magazine and a Happy Christmas to you.
