All Saints’ Centenary ended in February with a celebratory service. All past and present clergy and ordinands were invited and we were delighted to see so many familiar faces. The Very Reverend Dr Jeffrey John, Dean of St Albans, preached and the service also saw the Return of the Talents.
The Talents Scheme was an opportunity for us to see how much we could raise for charity. Members of the Parish were offered £10 and invited to ‘make it grow’ during the year. Over £2000 was raised – part has been donated to the Porthcawl Foodbank and the remainder is awaiting distribution to other charities.
The service was a joyous occasion. It was wonderful to welcome everyone and the event turned into a ‘who’s who’ for the parish!
